With the departure of legendary coach Bob Turco, many uncertainties were lingering around new head coach Rich Roche, on how he’d get the Irish back to their winning ways; but after one season, all critics were shut down.

The Irish in their 2018-2019 season, finished with a dominating 20-5 record, crowning newly acquired head coach Rich Roche the Trenton Times ‘Coach of the Year’.  However, the Irish could not capitalize in the postseason, ending their season in a disappointing first-round exit to Bishop Eustace Prep.

The Irish will lose key players in their rotation for this season: First-Team All-County Michael Kane and Second-Team All-County, Justin Yu, were both key ingredients to the success of the Irish, and graduated last spring.

Nevertheless, Notre Dame looks to have another stellar year as they bring back star guard and Second Team All-County; Leon Jones, as well as 6-5 forward, Quentin Autry among others.

As the new season dawns upon us, the Irish continue to make a convincing case for the highly coveted Mercer County Championship.

The Irish will begin their season at home against Allentown on December 20th right here on the WBCB Sports Network!
