Darell Johnson is onto the next chapter of his basketball career.

Johnson, a Nottingham senior, and the reigning Times of Trenton Player of the Year, announced his commitment to Cecil College at a press conference at Nottingham High School.

Chris Raba, the head basketball coach at Nottingham, expressed the pleasure he had in coaching Johnson throughout his time with the Northstars.

“Darell may have had the best season of a player I have ever coached,” Raba said. “And I have coached some really good players.”

In the 33 games this past season, Johnson was never held under 15 points. The senior recorded719 points, 21.8 ppg, 8.8 rpg, and 2 bpg.
